Vic NAIDOC March

  • Victorian Aboriginal Health Service 186 Nicholson Street Fitzroy, VIC, 3065 Australia (map)

START TIME TO BE CONFIRMED

The Victorian NAIDOC March is one of the most significant events of NAIDOC Week: a proud and powerful expression of solidarity, resistance, and strength.

Each year, thousands of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, along with allies and supporters, take to the streets of Melbourne to walk together in the spirit of truth, justice, and celebration. The March is a call for recognition, a demand for change, and a celebration of our cultures, communities, and continued survival.

What to expect:

  • Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony

  • Speeches from Elders, community leaders, and young voices

  • A sea of flags, banners, and voices raised in unity

We march for our Elders. We march for our children. We march for land, for justice, for culture and truth. The NAIDOC March is a time for visibility, for honouring our shared struggles, and for celebrating the strength, beauty and resilience of First Nations peoples.

Bring your banners, your flags, your family, and your friends. Stand with us. March with us.
