Vic NAIDOC Flag Raising Ceremony

  • Camp Sovereignty and then walking to Federation Square Melbourne, VIC, 3000 Australia (map)

The Victorian NAIDOC Flag Raising Ceremony marks the official start of NAIDOC Week — a powerful gathering of community, leaders and allies to honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and contributions.

This year we invite you to meet at Camp Sovereignty where we will hold ceremony.

Together we will walk to Federation Square

There will be a Welcome to Country, speeches, and the raising of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags. It is a moment of truth-telling, visibility and pride, reminding us all of the unbroken connection First Nations peoples have to this land.

We invite mob, allies, organisations and the broader community to come together in respect, reflection and solidarity.
